PARIGI: arrival and pick up of hired car, departure in the direction of the renowned Loire Valley, passing through Bourges, famous for its St. Etienne Cathedral and Jacques Coeur Palace, magnificent works of gothic art. Arrival at Saint-Amand-Montrond, where you will stay at the Chateau de la Commanderie, magnificent castle divided by two wings, of the XI and XIX century. The guest will be greeted with a welcome drink by the owners, two nights, breakfast and a candle light dinner to complete the stay. We advise to visit the splendid village, and nearby the Chateau de Meillant dating back to the end of the XV century, a construction rich in Italian decoration, also to visit the Abbey of Noirlac, one of the best conserved monasteries in Europe. Continuing towards Tours, apart from the visit to this historic city, you’re obliged to see the Chateau de Chambord near to Blois and the Chateau de Chenonceau, a wonderful work of art also called “The Castle of the Ladies”. Arrival at the Chateau des Sept Tours, exceptional example of neogotic architecture from the last century, situated in the Valley of Kings right in the heart of the Tourain. Here the guest is reserved a welcome drink, two nights, breakfast and a romantic candle light dinner. The journey continues west and there are many wonderful castles to see such as: the Chateau de Villandry, constructed in the rinasciamental decade with its magnificent gardens, and the Chateau d’Azay-le-Rideau, a true work of art, dating back to the XVI century. Not to neglect Angers and a visit to the Chateau de Chinon where the legendry meeting between Joan of Arc and King Carlo VII took place.
